School Camps

We are at an exciting time of the year.... planning our end of year school camps and trying to come up with very cool activities and experiences for the students of Amesbury School. We believe that camps provide opportunities and experiences that build school culture and that build resiliency, including learning resilience, in students.

We want to have the best possible weather so have planned the camps for the last two weeks of school. In general, it is our intention to have an overnight tenting camp as early as possible in February each year, and an end of year camp in December each year. The following camps have been planned for this year:

Year 1 - 2 students: Sleepover at the Zoo (Wednesday,12 December) followed by activities on Thursday in the city
Year 3 - 4 students: Sleepover at the Zoo (night of Tuesday, 11 December) and activities in the city during Tuesday and Wednesday
Year 5 - 6 students: Monday - Friday (3 - 7 December), Camp at Napier, staying at Kennedy Park.

If you have any suggestions for activities, I am sure that the teachers will appreciate any ideas that you have.

Fundraising activities are being planned to assist with the costs of the camps - particularly the year 5 - 6 camp.
