Meeting about the Arrowsmith Program in Wellington schools
Parents and interested teaching staff are warmly invited to an information evening to hear about the moves afoot to bring the Arrowsmith Program to New Zealand classrooms. The meeting is on Tuesday, July 2, 7.30pm, at Mount Cook School hall.
The Arrowsmith Program is an outstanding Canadian cognitive learning program based on neuroscience that has profoundly changed outcomes for children with a wide range of learning disabilities over the last 30 years. Seventy percent of Arrowsmith students cease to need any kind of learning support at all, while for others the support needed is significantly less. The main premise of the program is to identify, isolate and then tax cognitive weakness, rather than to employ strategies to compensate for weakness.
To learn more about the program, visit: http://www.arrowsmithschool.org/
For inquiries about the meeting contact Helen Smyth: helen.smyth@nzarrowsmith.org
