GET SET GO FESTIVAL - NEWTOWN PARK - SUNDAY 24 NOVEMBER FROM 10AM TO 2PM
Athletics Wellington is working with Athletics NZ and Active Post to host a GET SET GO FESTIVAL at Newtown Park on Sunday 24 November from 10am to 12pm. The event is for 4 to 7 year olds inclusive is being promoted through clubs, pre schools and schools. 
The first 200 to register for this event receive a free GET SET GO t-shirt when they arrive at the event.  So tell your friends about it as well, and register now so you don’t miss out on the free t-shirt.  They are nice and bright – the kids will love them.
GET SET GO is a new and exciting initiative from Athletics NZ to help our kids develop the skills they need to be active through play and sport.  Heaps of new activities for kids and their parents to have fun with.
The cost is $5 and you can register by going to www.athleticshub.co.nz then BOOK NOW and click on this event.
If you would like some coloured brochures to hand out at your club, pres school or school let me know and I can organise to get these to you.
KIDS FUN RUN ON WELLINGTON WATERFRONT TUESDAY 17 DECEMBER
Keep the afternoon of Tuesday 17 December free!  We are working with AMI and Sport Wellington to put on a Kids Fun Run.  Details are being finalised at the moment.  Info will be included on the Athletics Hub website next week and an email will be sent as soon as I have more information, but in the meantime keep from 4pm onwards free in your calendar that day.

Now is a great time to give Gym a go! Book NOW and only pay for the remaining weeks of this term. This will allow your child to experience fun at Bigair Gym but also to show what Gym can really do for your child.  Parents are reporting back to Bigair Gym Coaches that since starting gym, they have noticed an improvement in school achievement, listening skills, self confidence and a sense of achievement in their children. Workshop for kids with dyslexia
This course is being run by Matt Strawbridge creator of the website www.dyslexiapotential.com
Matt is a year 10 Scots college student. (The course has limited numbers and there will be additional adult supervision.)
Have fun, be inspired, learn lots of strategies and shortcuts, and let Matt show you how to make the most of your dyslexic talents, go home feeling great with a vision for your awesome future ahead.
This course is designed for Dyslexic kids aged between 7 and 11 years

Meet author Stacy Gregg
New Zealand children's author Stacy Gregg, author of the Pony Club Secrets books will be at The Children's Bookshop, Kilbirnie Plaza on Thursday November 14th from 4pm to 4,30pm
Stacy will be promoting her new book, The Princess and the Foal, but readers are welcome to bring along any copies of her books they already own for signing, and to ask questions
