In Term II an elective started to plan a butterfly garden. They investigated what plants would be suitable to attract butterflies. They found out that plants that have nectar for the butterflies are good. Blue is a good colour to attract them. They located the garden in a sunny, sheltered spot on the hill side of Harakeke Hub. The students then made two tile mosaic butterfly signs. Check out the clip below for more details. The students would love you to visit the garden.
