Churton Park Community Centre - What's On to 16 March 2014

ON THIS WEEK
  • ** Zumba Gold ** - please note that there will be no Zumba Gold on Friday 14th March.
  • ** Quest 4 Wellness March Seminar ** - Tuesday March 11th at 7.30pm. See the attached flyer for more details on this month’s event.
  • ** Free CPR Sessions ** - places are still available on the two free CPR/Automated External Defibrillator courses being run on 10th March. One session is at 10.30am and the other is at 7.00pm. Both run for 90 minutes. Let me know if you’d like to attend.
  • ** Thursday Table Tennis ** - a quick reminder that we run a two hour table tennis session at CPCC on Thursdays from 12 – 2pm. Great fitness and friendship. $2 to play.
  • ** Churton Park Golf Group ** – the first group outing is this Thursday morning (13th March) at Ohariu Valley Golf Club. If you are interested in trying out golf with the Churton Park Golf Group, I have 8 x 18 hole + club hire vouchers to enable you to try it out for free. First in first served, so let me know via email if you would like one.

** Churton Park Photography Group ** - the group meets on the third Tuesday of every month (this month it will be Tuesday 18th March from 7.30 – 9.30pm). All are welcome. If you’d like more information or to join, email me cpcc@wcc.govt.nz.

COMMUNITY NOTICES
** Beanstalk Book Fair ** - Beanstalk Kindy in Tawa are holding an ongoing Book Fair at the kindy. Plenty of quality books to check out. Contact Beanstalk Kindy for more information (232 4261) or see the attached flyer.
** Churton Park Revegetation Group ** - The next Wingfield Reserve site cleanup day will be held on Saturday 15th March commencing at 1pm. The task will be to clear growth from around last years plants, in the middle of the site.
Tools and gloves will be available.  Contact John Morrison 477 1020 for further information.

FROM NEWLANDS COMMUNITY CENTRE
If you want to try out Tai Chi do so for free at Newlands Community Centre on Mon 10 March 11.30am-12.30pm.  Tai Chi is great for reducing your risk of developing osteoporosis, it improves bone and muscle strength, heart health and body balance.

FROM TAWA COMMUNITY CENTRE
The SPCA will be with us at the Tawa Community Centre on Sat 15th March from 12-3pm.
