Churton Park Community Centre - What's On to May 25th, 2014

Hi Everyone

Well, we’ve had a real taste of winter this week, haven’t we? Great to see the sun again today! For what’s coming up next week, please click here.

ON NEXT WEEK
  • ** CPCC Buggy Walking Group ** - our lovely buggy group is growing! Join us at 9.25am on Monday for a 9.30am departure. To be added to this group, please email me.

  • ** Lunchtime Yoga with Diane ** is cancelled on Monday 19th May.

  • ** Creative Expressions ** - the wonderful ladies from Creative Expressions are back for Term Two with an afternoon of craft and creation. Daphne is taking intermediate quilting, while Anne is teaching beginners quilting. If you’ve never quilted before, come along and try! Rosie will be continuing teaching the Knack of Knitting, a perfect winter hobby! Monday afternoons from 1.30 – 3.30pm, $2 to cover room hire. For more information, contact Daphne on 022 687 2052.

  • ** Churton Park Photography Group ** - this month the group is sharing black and white photos taken using their camera in a manual setting.  They will also be sharing a series of photos depicting a "process" and finally they all had a mission to find the number 22 and capture it the best way they could! It’ll be fascinating to see the outcome. The group meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm and new members are always welcome. For further information on joining, please contact me – cpcc@wcc.govt.nz.

  • ** Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Romina Roncato ** - if you are looking for a great way to stay warm this winter and achieve great fitness and flexibility results, then try Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Romina – Thursdays 6 – 6.55pm. EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
  • ** Social English Classes ** - I am currently exploring the possibility of holding social English classes here at the Centre during the day. Great for people who need basic English to carry on day-to-day conversations. Please have a think about whether there is someone you know that might benefit from these classes (as they may not be receiving these emails) and let me know if you’d like them (or yourself) to be included in future information if these classes go ahead: cpcc@wcc.govt.nz or 830 4802.
