Today we started electives for Term 3. One of the choices is martial arts, or 'wushu'. Yaru, from the Confucius Institute, and Xiao, a Wellington martial arts master, ran our first session. Xiao is showing us some movements and the children learnt a whole movement routine. We were also treated to a dao (sword) performance, snake performance and monkey performance. He had us mesmerised! I wonder what the master will show and teach us next week!
