Amesbury School Chosen for OECD Best Practice in Education Facilities

Amesbury School is being showcased on the OECD's database of 'Best Practice in Education Facilities.'

We were contacted towards the end of last year by personnel of the OECD Centre for Effective Learning Environments who asked if we would allow our school to be showcased on their database of innovative learning environments. Of course we said, "Yes!" and provided them with the information they required. Our profile was submitted to a committee who accepted it for the OECD's database and website. Here is the link to the entry about our school: Database: Best Practice in Education Facilities

The school has been included in the following Exemplary design categories: comfort, community use and involvement, energy efficiency, flexible learning settings, furniture, green school, outdoor spaces, technology rich

From the website:
"The OECD Centre for Effective Learning Environments (CELE) and the European Investment Bank(EIB) launched the “Database of Best Practices in Educational Facilities Investment” on 29 September 2011. It seeks to inform the planning, design, construction, management and evaluation of educational spaces, combining resources for strategic investment in educational infrastructure, with exemplary school and university facilities from all over the world."
