School Cross Country Races

The school held its 4th cross country championships on Monday afternoon, 4 May.

It was a cold, wintry day with a bit of a wind but the racing was definitely hot! In several races there were very close finishes with two or three runners battling it out until the very end. Other races were well won by a runner who finished well ahead. Well done to all students who put in lots of effort and ran with enthusiasm. The course was harder under foot than it has been in previous years making for better racing, but it was still a little uneven, providing significant challenge, particularly for the younger runners.

Thanks so much to the teachers for organising the event. Thanks to parents who came out to watch in the cold and our particular thanks go to the students who led and followed the last runners around the course and helped out with any problems or difficulties that runners experienced. I especially loved watching Khan and Chris who supported Vishakan around the course. You were wonderful!

Results will follow.
