Fire engine

image

The school had an unplanned full fire evacuation practice today. Thanks so much to the wonderful firemen who arrived to save the day!

We had a real life Fire Evacuation practice today without the fire. Generally when we practice, we have to use the manual school bell. So it was great to have the opportunity to practice an evacuation with the real alarm which is loud and tells children to leave via the nearest fire exit. In spite of not knowing whether this was a practice or not, the children and teachers exited quickly and with no fuss. At the end, everyone was quickly accounted for and once the fire engine arrived and the firemen had checked that there was, in fact, no fire, everyone went back to their work.
