Pink Mufti Day

image

As Friday 20th May is NZ Pink Shirt Day we've decided to have gold coin donation pink theme-day at school tomorrow...

Get creative with clothes, ties, hair, nails, costumes, socks... this Friday is mufti day (no uniform required), so students can come to school head to toe in pink, or if they prefer, they can wear their uniform with a pink 'accessory'.

Please remember your gold coin donation - we will have donation containers/collectors at the sign-in screens in the morning.  Funds raised will be split between the Mental Health Foundation and fundraising towards our bike track facilities.

Pink Shirt Day is about working together to stop bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting positive social relationships.  It’s about creating a community where all people feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, or cultural background.

Some of our students having been putting some thought in to this, and have posters around the school to share their message - check out the attached photos...
