Amesbury Netballers

We have 2 teams representing our school in the Northern Suburbs competition this year - here's a little bit about them and some action shots...

The Amesbury All Stars is a mixed year 5/6 netball team. Making up our team is Kellan, Sam, Maddie, Sayuni, Mischa, Abbie, Kate, Lucy, Priya and Arnah. We play on Saturday mornings at Newlands College along with a midweek training. So far we've been lucky with the weather and haven't yet had to play in the rain - although that day will probably come. We're currently about half way through the season and we're seeing great improvement week on week. Last week we had a huge boost of confidence with an 11-5 win over Khandallah School. The aim of our team is to have fun and improve our netball skills along the way. 

The Amesbury Ferns consist of: Sara, Zoe, Ashley, Georgia, Matthew, Lulu, Ha-Yeon, Aislinn, Rosa and Grace. This is the second season for most players in this team. It has been a tough first half of the season but the team have never given up and get stronger as each game is played. We have had one win so far and are looking forward to the remainder of the season. Their enthusiasm for the game is applaudable and the parents support is amazing too. Ka pai koutou!
