Amesbury Junior Invitational Cross Country

image

After our successful school cross country, Amesbury School will now be hosting our annual Junior Invitational Cross Country.

For this event we invite all other local primary schools to bring along their 5 fastest girls and boys in Years 1, 2 and 3 to compete in a set of thrilling finals.

The Invitational will be held from 11:30am - 1pm on Thursday 8th June at Amesbury School. We will be using our bike track again, which is now well and truly tried and tested! Year 1 and 2 students will be running 1 loop of the track (500m) and Year 3 students will run 2 loops (1km).

The Amesbury team who are invited to take part in the cross country are:

Year 1 Girls: April Yang, Greer Lewis, Hanbyul Jeong, Livvy Jones and Elizabeth Jo.

Year 1 Boys: Bosco Witty, Jayden Mo, Oliver Mayer, Alex Gailitis and Micah Hart.

Year 2 Girls: Ila Hayward, Hannah Knowles, Vrusha Mistry, Ciara Ashley and Vida Campion.

Year 2 Boys: Liam Hardy, Lucas Simpson, Josh Conway, Lucas Smith and Kirat Singh.

Year 3 Girls: Felicity Gould, Olivia Williams, Si-Yeon Lee, Ruby Conway and Georgie Neal.

Year 3 Boys: Max Smith, James Mooney, Ewan McGarry, Jacob Knowles and Affan Khan.

All other Koru and Te Rito students will be willing cheerleaders, encouraging all runners to do their very best. Some older Harakeke students will act as marshalls and lead runners for each race.

Parents and whanau are most welcome to come along and attend the cross country  - it is always a fabulous event involving many of our local schools.

If you have any questions about the Junior Invitational Cross Country, please email Erin (erin@amesbury.school.nz).

Warm regards,

The Amesbury team
