We are considering adding rhythmic gym to our co-curricular program, alongside music and drama lessons!

To gauge demand, Ellie Ross, from Elements Rhythmic Gymnastics Club will run a free trial lesson on Friday 23 June (during school time). If we have enough interest, we will look at adding rhythmic gym in Term 3.

Please complete the form here for your child to participate in a trial lesson. Numbers are limited and participation will be on a first come, first served basis.

Background on Rhythmic Gymnastics and Ellie Ross

Rhythmic gymnastics is a proven foundation for many sports. Gymnasts will learn basic acrobatic skills like forward and backward rolls, cartwheels and more. They will work on building strength, flexibility, co-ordination, self esteem and confidence, through a wide range of gymnastics skills, with fun and exciting apparatus. The five pieces of apparatus in Rhythmic are rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon.

The classes are open to boys and girls of all abilities and we strive to provide them with fun learning experiences and a safe environment for development.

Ellie Ross has come to New Zealand from the UK to teach at Elements Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. She has been involved in gymnastics from a very young age, competing nationally in Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics in the UK and has been coaching Gymnastics for the past 7 years, teaching a rage of ages and abilities.
