Consultation on the Draft Digital Technologies Curriculum

image

We are currently finalising planning for 2018, and we would appreciate your feedback on the Draft Digital Technologies Curriculum being launched next year. Here's a chance to look at it in a little more detail, and give your thoughts.

The Technology Learning Area of the New Zealand Curriculum stresses the importance of intervention by design, addressing needs and realising opportunities to meet the new and emerging societal needs.

The Draft Digital Technologies Curriculum is a new addition within the Technology Curriculum to make digital technologies explicit within this learning area. Here is a link to the proposed curriculum

As part of our Term 3 community consultation we asked whanau for their thoughts on the draft curriculum. If you would like to contribute to the ideas shared by the group, here is a Google form containing the questions we asked.  Please feel free to read through the draft curriculum and share your thoughts with us. We appreciate you sharing your ideas; they will help us to form what digital technologies will look like going forward at Amesbury School.

Warm regards,

The Amesbury team
