Teams of senior girls have been meeting on Friday afternoons to work on engineering projects

Many thanks to Sophie Scott, who has been coming in on Friday afternoons to lead teams of senior girls on engineering projects. Sophie says,

I'm really, really passionate about getting young girls into engineering and STEM, so I've come along to Amesbury to do some engineering activities to pique their interest and make it a career potential.

Our engineers have had a great time building bridges, devices to protect eggs when they are dropped, and towers. The engineering sessions have brought out a lot of creativity, some great ideas, worthwhile experiments, and plenty of fun.
