On Thursday (Week 6), students from Harakeke Hub will help the Wellington City Council plant trees on the new track between Foxham Terrace and Melksham Drive.
Information about the dayGroup 1 will leave school at 11:45am and arrive back by 1:45pm.
Group 2 will leave school at 12:40pm and arrive back by 2:40pm.
We will leave Amesbury School, walk up Amesbury Drive and then go to the end of Foxham Terrace where the track begins.
The organisers will meet us there to give their briefing and help us glove up. We will then plant trees for about 20 minutes.
Afternoon tea, including water, will be provided.
We will then follow the track down to Melksham Drive, up Mauldeth Terrace and down Romaine Road back to school.
The planting will go ahead regardless of weather. However, we will make a call on the day depending how bad the weather is.
