Junior Invitational Cross Country

The Northern Zone Junior Invitational Cross Country was hosted last week at Amesbury School

Georgia did a great job of organising the Northern Zone Junior Invitational Cross Country at the school last Tuesday. Not only did she ensure that the event ran smoothly for what seemed to be thousands of year 1 to 3 children, she also ensured that the bad weather held off until everything was finished and packed away.

With children from a dozen other schools in the Northern Zone competing alongside Amesbury's own, there was some intense racing throughout each field.

Special mention to Sophia C who was a comfortable winner of the Year 2 girls race, as well as Tom, Jade, Oliver, and Heidi who all finished in the top ten placings in their events.

A big thank you also to all the students, teachers and parents who all played their part in a myriad of ways to make sure that the event went as planned, with a special mention to Gail and her team who ensured that everyone was fed at the sausage sizzle.
