Day One of our South Island Camp

A rough crossing but we're all here and still smiling!A rough crossing but we're all here and still smiling! — by Urs Cunningham

A bumpy start to our camp with quite a rough crossing across the strait. However, we're here and all settled in now.

A long travel day for our intrepid campers. We settled in quickly at the camp, with many of us eyeing the big maze and go-kart track longingly!

Dinner time brought nachos and lamingtons, followed by several robust rounds of our favourite camp game: Stealth -  Steve Dunbar makes a tough prison guard!

We are off on our day tramp in the Abel Tasman National Park tomorrow - a slight change in the order of events due to more favourable tramping weather tomorrow.

After a story from Anna we are now all settled into our cabins and looking forward to a good night's sleep.  Goodnight!
