Gumboots and spare clothes for outdoor fun at break times

image

We want to encourage the games, science learning and exploring that's happening outside and in the wetlands ...

Even though the grounds are often wet, muddy and slippery at this time of year, and because we know it's fun to play in the water, we want to make sure that this can continue without students ruining good shoes and needing to sit in wet/muddy clothing during class time.

Students must have gumboots on to walk into the water in the wetlands, keep pants rolled up, and if they are general adventurers then they should have a spare set of dry clothes (particularly underwear and pants/leggings), and a plastic bag for wet clothes, in their bag at school.

We have a very limited range of clothes available for children to borrow in cases of emergency, so if you know your child enjoys outdoor play, and wouldn't want to stay in wet/muddy clothes - please put some spare clothes in their backpack.

If your child has come home in our 'emergency' clothing, can you please wash and return these items to the office as soon as possible.

Many thanks.
