Construction has commenced

Construction of Amesbury School commenced on 10 January 2011. Work is progessing according to the project plan, thanks to the fine weather that we are having in Wellington.

The two blocks currently under construction are:
1. the hall / admin / library / staff room block, which also includes 4 classrooms
2. a 6 classroom block (closest to the sports fields)

The tennis courts are closest to Amesbury Drive, and a 3/4 size football field is situated just behind the tennis courts. Drainage will be laid to ensure the grounds can be used in winter.
