Success at Northern Zone Swimming Competition

On Friday 15 Year 4-6 Amesbury students represented our school at the Northern Zone Swimming Competition. They put their best efforts into their events and represented our school really well; super job guys, we are all proud of you.

A particular well done to the students who placed first or second in their events and now go on to represent Amesbury School at the Inter Zone competition a little later this term:
Year 5 boys relay team (William Van Rij, Oliver Dunbar, Harry Law and Freeman Yu)
Freeman Yu - winner of the Yr 5 25 m freestyle
Gracie Hayward - winner of the 25m backstroke.

A huge thanks to Bex Cook, who led the team on the day and was one of the (very busy!) judges for the events, and our parent team who transported students and managed the team or completed other roles to help run the event: Garth Hayward, Vivian Tse and Kylie Law.

SPCA Cupcake Sale this Friday

Surya and Siyala have been working hard at home to help raise money for the SPCA: creating fabulous posters advertising their bake sale, and of course, planning and baking their delicious cupcakes.
They are raising money for the SPCA through participating in their Cupcake Day - yum! Tasty treats, supporting your friends and helping animals in need - who could ask for more!
Come along to the library on Friday after school (3pm) to buy a yummy treat and help out the SPCA. Cakes will be $3.50 each. See you there!
