2019 St Brigid’s Kapa Haka Festival.

image

Approximately seventy children represented Amesbury School at the annual St Brigid’s Kapa Haka Festival on Saturday of Week 9.

Our tamariki (children) took to the stage like professionals and made us all proud. They sang their waiata (songs), accompanied with actions and e rere taku poi (swing that poi) with smiles on their faces. Our tama (boys) blew the audience away with their Haka and even made a few people shed tears (happy tears).

They looked stunning in their brand new uniforms too. We would like to say an extra special thank you to Belinda Beazer (Greta and Jack’s mum) for organising the production of the uniforms. Belinda spent many hours planning, purchasing and organising parents to help make the uniforms. Thank you to the parents who helped Belinda too. Ka mau te wehi (awesome).
