 KELLY CLUB January 2015 Holiday Programmes - Our programmes focus on giving children aged between 5 and 12 the opportunity to do things they enjoy in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment. They are packed with variety to entertain, inspire and challenge children. 

We will be operating for 4 weeks during the January school holidays from 5 January 2015 at  AmesburySchool.
Please note - We will also be operating a pre-Christmas Holiday Programme on Thursday 18th and  Friday 19th December 2014 at Amesbury School from 8am – 6pm.

Community fun day
Raroa Normal Intermediate School would like to extend an invitation to year 6 students who are enrolled at Raroa Intermediate for 2015 to join us on Wednesday 10th December (pp 12 December) from 11am for an hour of fun activities such as Inflatable race,horizontal bungee, sack race, leaky pipe challenge, pool balloon, bobbing for apples, Firefighter 111 call challenge and much more. This will be followed by a byo picnic lunch for those who wish to stay.
All students must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or caregiver.

RAROA MUSIC CENTRE ENROLMENTS FOR 2015: Raroa Music Centre offers Saturday morning group music lessons for primary school children at low cost.  Classes include choir, keyboard, recorder, drums, guitar, violin,
cello, clarinet, flute and trumpet.

Kids Have FUN at Craft House - School Holiday Craft Classes and Birthday Parties
Have you ever wanted to make your own Snow Dome? Our Casual Christmas Craft classes will give you the chance to make one. Drop in for just an hour or stay all day and craft up some real Christmas magic. We also have our January school holiday schedule available now. Karori Junior Hockey - Save the Date

Cooking & Craft Holiday Programmes for children aged from 4 - 11 are being offered by Hayley Balmer, a teacher, in Redwood, Tawa on 18/12 &19/12/14 and 21/1; 22/1 & 23/1/15. Each session is different and children can come for as many sessions as they like. All groups have limited places and a reservation is necessary.

Do you want to help your child be more successful with their reading comprehension?  Are you unsure how to do that, as you're not a teacher?  If you would like to learn how to understand how different texts work, and how to create great questions to ask your child as they are reading, then this course may be just what you're looking for.  "Help your child excel: Comprehension strategies that work!"  is aimed at parents and caregivers, to allow them to work alongside their child's teachers in enabling a better understanding of reading comprehension for their child.  It is an online course, that you take at your own pace, and you can ask questions of and have discussions with the tutor and other people who are learning the strategies for their own children.  It covers texts aimed at children from three years old and up through their school years.  Why not take a look and see if it would help your family?

Push Play in your neighbourhood January 2015
Push Play in your local park and open spaces with friends and family this summer. The Push Play team will be out there with fun equipment and exciting games to keep everyone active and entertained. There are activities for all ages including  T-ball, soccer, badminton, volleyball and unihoc. ‘Crazy Cricket’ for all ages will be a special feature. With the Cricket World Cup coming to Wellington we’ll be playing all sorts of fun versions of cricket.
